Paper Industry Gold Awards

There are plenty of excellent initiatives to enhance green credentials and employee well-being across the paper industry. Award events offer the opportunity to gain recognition for some of the notable achievements.

The Confederation of Paper Industry Gold Awards highlight achievements in Environmental and Social Responsibility. The shortlisted and winning organisations have evidenced a commitment to sustainable practices and it is great to see their efforts being acknowledged.

We extend our congratulations to the 2023 winners.

They are:

Paper & Board Recycling Award – VPK UK & Ireland for their commitment to waste minimisation

Skills Award – Essity UK Ltd for their investment in employee training

Health & Safety Award – SAICA Group for creating a safer, healthier work environment for staff

Community Engagement Award – Smurfit Kappa Inspirepac Chesterfield for their strong partnership with a local school

Sustainability & Net Zero Award – DS Smith PLC for their fibre & paper development lab & Swanline Group for their development of an e-commerce packaging design. Fourstones Papermill was also commended in this category, for the removal of chemicals in their processes

Individual Gold Award – Bud Hudspith for his commitment to health and safety in the paper industry in his role at Unite.
