Ten Packaging Products Championing Sustainability
Ten products are showcased as having the potential to drive fresh thinking in the packaging industry.
They include:
- FAVINI Refit Demin – transforming discarded textile waste from jeans into stonewash effect paper. What’s more, the process is powered by hydro-electricity!
- Ranpak RecyCold™ – fully recycled gel ice packs that provide thermal insulation for cold chain food and beverages.
- Jain Alufoils – offering recyclable aluminium cold foil stamping. This print solution for packaging can add a touch of luxury without costing the environment.
- Fenner PaperWise – creating Chlorine-free papers from leaves, stems and related agricultural waste using 100% renewable energy.
- RE-ZIP Reusable Bags & Boxes – a circular scheme for e-commerce businesses which promotes the reuse of packaging.
It is always exciting to see new products being used in our industry, especially when they focus on minimising the use of resources, reducing our reliance on plastic and preventing waste. These have to be priorities in the future of packaging design.
