What’s the Future of Packaging?
Whatever the product range, one thing that all manufacturers and retailers have in common is the need to use sustainable packaging. Packaging waste is having a destructive effect on our planet, threatening essential natural habitats, so a rapid shift towards sustainability is essential and that requires innovation and collaboration.
Why Rethink Packaging?
Three primary reasons are driving the move towards sustainable packaging:
- Consumers favour brands that are actively minimising their environmental impact, so change is the only way to remain relevant and competitive in the market.
- Our planet is becoming clogged with packaging waste and the current practices of shipping waste around the globe simply shift the problem.
- The introduction of the Plastic Tax and the drive towards Net Zero means that sustainable solutions are an essential element in financial management.
From start-ups to established global corporations, the wide-scale adoption of sustainable packaging is now a necessity, not a choice. We need to be using trusted packaging materials, such as corrugated cardboard, in new ways, whilst discovering and adopting new packaging solutions.
