Cardboard Sculptures Fund Wildlife Conservation
We’ve recently learnt about a London wildlife artist who creates realistic, life-size animals from recycled materials. Most of the creations are made using corrugated cardboard.
To Josh Gluckstein, an everyday cardboard box offers the perfect material to work with. He values the cardboard’s strength and durability when forming the core shape by slotting pieces together. Then, he uses the various textures of corrugated cardboard to replicate the skin, scales, fur and shells of his amazing animals. The effect is amazing!

Fundraising with Cardboard
With a lifelong passion for nature, Josh has travelled to several of the world’s wildlife hotspots. In addition to spotting many impressive species, he’s noticed that packaging waste litters most of these habitats. For this reason, he commits to using recycled cardboard in his art. We’re often promoting the sustainability of cardboard, but this takes recycling to another level.
What’s more, he donates money raised from the sales of his sculptures to three conservation charities; Born Free, Helping Rhinos and WWF. So far, he has raised over £10,000 for these organisations, which is a very impressive use of cardboard. What a talent!
