A box offers multiple internal and external surfaces, which are often underused. Here are three reasons to pay more attention to what’s inside your packaging design.

Enhance Product Presentation

The delight of unboxing shouldn’t be limited to external print. Consumers should feel impressed when they open the box and the product is revealed. Building internal components into the design of your bespoke boxes will increase the perception of your product and brand.

Separate compartments for individual components look great, deliver a consistent appearance and show a brand that cares. External print design can be continued inside the boxes or flood printing in a brand colour can be used to add impact.

Add Protection

Attention to the internal presentation can also enhance the strength and protection offered by the packaging during transportation and storage. With each item in its place, the components can’t move around and knock against each other.

Restricting movement can be especially important for delicate goods, liquid products and weighty items. It also makes sense to focus on added protection for exported goods which will be handled multiple times before reaching their destination.

Leaving the inside of your delivery boxes or retail packaging plain is a missed opportunity. This space can be used to interact with customers. Add a message, the brand story and social profiles to make your brand memorable.
